Just wondering. I think the lawnmowers are very bland, but I love having a little fish that'll mow down that pesky hair algea if it arises. Gotta nip it in the bud. Will a midas blenny take care of it?
i've had two midas blennies and both never picked at any algae at all.. I'd look into a tailspot. They're usually good for algae.. not so sure about hair algae either.
A lawn mower blenny will eat hair algae all day long, why do you think they call it a lawn mower blenny, cause it will mow it down like theres no tommorow.

My own personal observations tell otherwise, mine never touched it when my tank went through the hair algea phase. FWIW, neither did the Tailspot I had when my 65 was still up and running.
Manual removal, nutrient control/export is what got rid of it for me.
Im glad we were of some assistance, personally the midas blenny is my fav and will be getting one for my tank real soon, have you looked into mexican turbo snails? they are awsome at removing hair algae also
