Uberfrags! We got a bunch of stuff from him. He really took care of us.

Must have sold them all before I got there.

No and none of he 6 folks with me did either if they were giving it away we all missed the boat but got some great frag deals.

And I enjoyed winning a new tank because a fellow BNARC really wanted it and now she has it. My wife would have shot me if I came home with one more tank.

did anyone get anything free from seachem, after i left i heard that they were giving thier products away, i got a bottle of dt's from the DT guy, he was really informative and super nice.

i wanted to get the orange sherbert chalice too but i ran out of money and can always grab one from yz later im sure...;)
im pretty happy with what i came home with :)

i was talking to those seachem guys for a while and no freebies. i shouldn't have told them i use their test kits. i should have been like seachem who?

I don't get it. Sampling is one of the most effective marketing strategies. So far, almost everything I had obtained a free sample of, I've went out and purchased. DT's has won my business this way. So has ORA, Rods, and a few others. For them not to have samples of any of the salts or additives available just blows me away. I've been debating on switching to their salt despite the fact that it's impossible to obtain locally. A sample bag to make 5 gallons would have been a great way to activate me as customer. I think it's ridiculous for me to have to ask local reefers for a sample of their own salt to see if I should switch. They launched a whole new line of additives, but without being able to try them, I think I'll stick with DT's.

I do have to say that I was on the fence between DT's and reef nutritions phytofeast and after using both and talking with Dennis I am sold on DT's. I agree with the free sample thing being effective.

If you had come to the CMAS meeting where Dennis did a talk, you would never buy Reef Nutrition's phyto again. I got some of his pods too.

Aiko, Gerti says she misses you! She can't sleep at night, because you're not here singing her a lullaby like you used to. :( Which song was that again?

Hi Jenni :)

I saw your post and was wondering what Dennis said at his talk that would make you feel this way?

I'm not sure if you ever saw this but take a look at this link http://www.marketing-gone-wild.com/index4.asp Looks like Reef Nutrition's Phyto-Feast Live is definitely a live product, at least according to this microalgae institute. Also, I’ve tried both Phyto-Feast and DT's and the Phyto-Feast is a lot more concentrated than DT’s.

It's a shame things got so ugly between these two companies but I'm glad the Reef Nutrition company was able to prove these false allegations by DT's Phytoplankton.

I'm always somewhat suspicious of companies that have to badmouth their competition instead of relying on their own benefits of their products.

oh..on a side note: my little green spotted puffer I got (a few weeks after visiting your home after IMAC) is doing GREAT!! I've been upgrading his tank as he gets bigger.
