military reefers club

I am asking to all of you to stay safe today. Keep reefing for enjoyment and therapy and stay focused. This is to all of active duty personnel.

Lt. Col. Alex Carapeti (Ret)

I think it is a great idea. I spent 4 years in the Marine Corps and just gave into the thought that I should wait to put a nice reef together after I got out and settled in somewhere. Now I regret all those years and the friends I would have made along the way to share the hobby with. Again, great idea and good luck.

Great to see this. I'm retired from the Navy now but had a reef while I was active, mostly while on shore duty.

However we do have several active duty members from several branches in our local club. I'll pass the word along to them.

And thanks to all of my Brothers and Sisters in Arms for continuing to serve and keep our great country free.

Only because we have to come and pick you guys up out of the puddle and move you to the next one. :)

Of course that's inbetween moving our red headed step child Marines around. ;) Got to get them their early to make room for the Army to come in and land. :)

I don't know Crusty. I didn't see any of you guys in Nam.
Your ships make a lot of noise in mud. :lol2:

And I guess you guys were busy eating real food, cooked in a real kitchen.
I know it was rough :wavehand:

Hi Paul, Glad you could join us. :)

Don't you remember all those boats with guns running up and down the rivers? But your right, the food was better than MRE's or whatever you caught in the jungle. ;)

No, no rivers, just during the monsoons.:crazy1:

C Rations baby, good old C rations. Give me a can of Cs and some C4 and I am in heaven

I guess I could have eaten this guy. It would have taken a lot of C4 to cook him though.

Oh, it loves your wallet!

I've never understood why the USAR has more ships than the Navy and more aircraft than the USAF. What's up with that?

I'm trying but I can't figure out answer to registration question about the last word!!

I'm getting ready to start a 75 gallon reef tank and this in one of my worries is leaving on deployment and having to sell all of my corals and fish just to start over when i get back. I think a military group community would be a good idea.

Let my first say thanks to all the military people who make this the greatest country on earth!!! ... i personally am not in the military (my brother & farther are both vets) i live in Phoenix now , and would be more then willing to help out any vet with there tank while deployed, just ask

US Army NG vert here. served in afghanistan and came home and found my new hobby to deal with all the depression. Best cure out there... Currently running a 90 gallon reef, 2 55gallon propagation tanks and picking up my new 185 gallon tank sunday! Great idea for the group

I agree, best treatment for PTSD out there. So much better than group therapy. I hate that touchy feely kinda crap.

Former Marine located in NYC anyone needs a hand or tank sitting feel free to drop me a PM. I would be honored to help any Brother or Sister in Arms out in any way possible.
