Millepora Polyp Extension

I was thinking it was a low nutrient issue...but the algae (red and green) as well as some bubble...etc is all still there. My chalices are also doing super! So it isnt a nutrient issue at all....I have 1 ricordia in the system and it too is thriving.

Weirdest thing is almost all my acros...even though most have full polyp extension (minus the millies who have some sort)...most acro bases are very smooth in skin and have hardly any color.

I almost feel like treating my tank with interceptor. I actually dont know where to buy this medication does anyone know?

I got mine from my local vet. I have a dog and requested it by name as it prevents heartworm disease for dogs 51-100lbs. Was very easy to get.

Here are the pictures of my other sps.

I think if i had any pests (AEFW or others) Don't think these corals would have been in my tank for 3 years without seeing them affected.

I dont think you have pests but there is something definitely going on. The fact that you have algea growing and becoming a problem(your words) is a redflag that maybe your Po4 and trates arent zero. The algea is consuming the additional nutrients to give false negatives on your tests. Im unfamilar with zeo dosing and how it responds to excess nutrients...maybe you should stop neo zeo for a while and see if the tank responds well. Another thought...get rid of that algea problem; Scrub off what you can, blow off what you can, get an algea blenny, add some snails, Do a lot of small waterchanges (2gallons ever 2 days), and give it time. See how your tank responds to that.

I would turn the pumps off and feed some reef chilli or coral food. What is your lighting? If you have old bulbs I would replace them.

Yeah the algae seems to be plaguing right now. That is why i started the neo zeo system in the first place. To really get it to ulns. I do pull out the algae weekly and it seems to have stopped growing since i started neozeo. Hopefully things will pull through in the next couple of weeks

I havent started dosing biofuel yet but will this saturday (hitting week 3 in neo zeo). Over time with manual removal plus the neo zeo i should be algae free.......hopefully

try feeding the corals and see if they extend their polyps further, some of mine will use the white stringy guts at feeding time.

My guess would be flow.. Also, i would not rule out AEFW.. They can be very evasive.. But, they love millies and tri-color acros!

I had the same issue with my milli's.I was starving them to death
When I increased No3 a little bit, milli's started to look as it should.
sps need no3 and po4 at some acceptable level

Yeahvthe thing is i dont think that is the problem due to the fact that i have algae growing in my display tank. I was feeding twice a day but i cut it down to once a day now. We will see hot it goes.

As for flow, i have my mp20 set to 100% in my tank on reefcrest mode. Plus i have my teturn pump pushing flow opposite direction causeing a sort of circular but at the same time random flow due to the fact that both current meets (and ecotech reduces and speeds up)

I have the same issue with my millies. They were fie then I got a file fish becasue they look so cool. One year later they still don't have polyp extension. All other corals have polyp extension. Maybe it is flow. I think it has more to do with ultra low nutrient systems. I use a sulfur reactor. When it is not working it smells like rotten eggs. Needles to say it floes, and I don't have much algae. I do have some, bit that becasue my wrasses have eaten all the clean up crew.

My recommendation is to try amino acids. Your corals do look very pastel. I think this might help you out big time. Did you treat the corals before you put them into your tank? I don't think you have any pests.
