Resurrection of an old thread. Any updates on these corals or any new milli's? Just switched to T5's and was going to try some out without using halides. Just wondering if I can get polyp extension like before.

i'll play, though mine are young still and i want to add more, particulary a sunset :)

ok, thought i had one of my blue milli which i think is really nice, guess i'll have to fiz that tomorrow ;) so i'll be sure to post it here soon

here is my blue milli as i mentioned :)

the color really is very blue, its jus i turned off my blue lights to take the pic and the brightness setting of my camera phone probably isnt quite right... but its probably one of my favorite peices... i have grown it from a 3/8" nub since last november, about 7 or 8 months... now its about 4", perhaps a bit more, from the highest tip to the bottom of the lowest appendage/base... really starting to take off now... and for all us sps heads, you know that makes peeps like us happy :)

jus out of curiousity and maybe this is the place to ask, what is the difference between millipora and prostrata's? they jus look so similiar to me... if i am way off, please forgive my ignorance...

Thanks Neal.

Looking at the aims site I can't tell the difference......but I think and I also been told that prostrata will branches that are wider spread....and a millepora is more tight. I do have one coral that looks exactly like a millepora except that its more stag like.....I think that one is a prostrata.

thanks for the input Darryl... those are some of the characteristics i think i have heard... also that perhaps milli's grow out and up, and prostrata grow up and then out, and are definitely more like a stag shape... of course the shaping has alot to do with flow and then maybe lighting as if it is reaching for light this could greatly affect shape, and again, flow has a ton to do with it i am sure... but i am still learning so much :)
