i've never mentioned it before, but a week or so after I put my purple gig into cipro treatment, my white tipped mag I had for about 6 months started deflating. I only noticed this about 2 weeks after removing the gig for treatment.
The timing was slightly off but there's nothing to say i wasn't deflating during the night after introducing the gig. They were both treated with cipro in seperate tanks, but the mag died relatively quickly whereas the gig just hung on for ages.
The mouth of my 2nd smalled mag that I purchsed for about a couple of months prior to the gig started to go all loose maybe a few weeks further down the line, but i have this feeling it was the clowns that was harrasing it. They were hosting the 1st mag and when i took that out, they moved onto the small mag. I also treated the smaller mag and have only just put it back into the DT last week but in a cage so the clowns can't get to it. It is looking ok, The mouth is closed, but isn't as tightly closed like it used to be. The endless water changes and maintenance got to me in the end and was a factor in why I moved it back into the DT. It seems to be stable so I am just playing the waiting game for now but am fairly confident it will be ok. I have to say, I wasn't running carbon (but I am now). I'm pretty new to mags and gigs (under 1 year) so that could also be a factor.
Good luck, I hope your collection lives peacefully together, just thought I'd mention my bad experience...
