Very nice Gig!
I bet you're right, they probably think just leaving it run in their vats all the time is best, for them (so they don't loose money). Could be why it's not as effective for some, creating resistant strains, making it tougher for the end owner to acclimate, once again...
I thought the dose was 250 per 10 gallons,no? In the cipro sticky, I thought that is what was written (post #94 says 500 per 20 gallons). Most of mine were treated at the 250mg per 10 gallon level, seemed strong enough. Only on a stubborn one, IIRC, did I use 500.
Minh, it's looking good. I'm happy for you.![]()
Very nice snag Minh.
I can not wait to see how it continues and works out.
Thank you Minh for allowing me to use this thread to update my gig's status. I will add pictures so we can easy compare how well the gig respond to antibiodic treatments.
The gig is on its 3rd day of treatment. I added Septra after 90% water change every night after the light is out. The gig would look best and fully inflated through out the night but during the day, espeacialy towards the end of the day, it deflated a little.
Currently i have a 4 bulb 39w ati fixture hanging at 10" above the water sufface running at 100% intensity. Is it too much light for the gig?
Pictures will follow.
Here is the purple gig before the light is on. The mouth is a little gapping but the gig does not show its guts. No waste or any rat poops. Overall it looks not too bad.

However when the light is on, the gig becomes sagging and slightly deflated. It looks like it is sensitive to light, and I am not sure if it is common with sick gigs. The gig is on its 4th day of Septra treatment and I plan to continue to treat it until its condition gets improved.

Minh and other experts on the forum, if you have any tips or advices please share.
My anemone detached last night and was just floating around. he attache really quickly when I turn the flow down and block him in against the side of the QT. The way I have it set up yesterday, the current may be a problem since the flow was flowing around him in a circular patern where he is right in the middle. He did not deflated.
Here are the pictures this AM. Day 4 of treatment.
