Mini carpets

Not sure if i am the last one to know but a mini carpet just finished eating my onyx clown. Carpet was inch in dia and clown was 1/2 inch. Live and learn.

how do you know it was an onyx if it was only 1/2 inch?!?

mini carpets are just like their big cousins (carpet nems), both of which do not naturally host clowns. your "onyx" probably just tired hosting it like any other right minded clown would do. but from what I've read the mini carpets can get pretty sticky. and it probably stuck your clown good.

"Their big cousins ( carpet nems )" are natural hosts to clowns, Haddonis, Mertensii, and gigantea.

Clarkiis are naturally hosted by Gigs, Haddonis and I believe mertensii.

Saddleback (( A polymnus )) --- Haddoni

Percs --- Gigs.

Then I will do it again.

Percs are naturally hosted by Gigs, which are "carpet" anemones.

It was a Rod's clown and was already half black at 1/2 inch. Colored up early and was red not orange. The mini was very sticky. Key word is was. Damaged during removal.
