Miniotious Grouper 4 sale

I've had him for about 5 weeks. He's super healthy & a real beauty. He's also a holy terror towards my huge Clarki Clowns. The wife wants him gone. I paid 75.00 for him at the critter. He can be yours for 50.00. I'm gonna either get a purple or sohal tang to take his place. Whichever of the 2 I find first lol.

I may be able take him but need a bit of time to get a tank up for him. I wanted one of those for my 220 when Ig et it set up sometime LOL.

How big is he?

Yes they are, and you need a BIG tank for them.Even small grouper get BIG..

He's between 4 to 5 inches max. 1 helluva appetite. He's a looker for sure & he's getting more & more bolder as time goes on. A friend of mine has nicknamed him striker. Your more than welcome to stop by & check him out anytime. Just give me a couple days notice when u wanna purchase him. I'm gonna have to come up with a creative way to capture him.

I will swing by sometime this week (might be the weekend) and see if he is too big to house in my 180 until the 220 is up. One thing about grouper..never underestimate the size og their mouths....he can swallow a fish much bigger than you would think.

EBD, for catching a fish like you could try what I did to catch a hawkfish. I bought some very tiny fishing hooks and 2lb Flourocarbon (dissapears better in the water) line. put a little shrimp on it and dangle it or jig it in front of him. he will smell the yummy treat and see that it moves and strike! just set the hook and pull him out. Worked like a charm for me after trying all sorts of traps and such. just a small brass wire hook is all you need!

No Joke I caught that big Valmingi Tang like that but It was so strong and surprised me so much that he ripped the hook out of his mouth. Besides the water It splashed on the floor If I had just jerked him right out once I hooked him I would have got him the first try. All big fish just can't resist that grub, Espically Shrimp Yum Yum.

Although I'm positive the hook method will work extremly well I'm afraid he will swallow the hook whole. He doesn't nibble his food. He swallows it whole. I got a good sized net I'm gonna place the food in it & hope for the best. If that don't work I may need to borrow a large fish trap.

Get a bigger hook. Most fish appear to swallow, but they take it into their mouths and taste it to make sure it is food before the throat muscles force it back. Take it from fisherman.

Well I tried all night the coke bottle trick with squid to catch the grouper with no luck. So I went & got a goldfish this morning. Less than 15sec later I had the grouper in the coke bottle so he has been caught.

Andy I have him in my sump waiting for his new daddy to pick him up lol.
