Nudis ate this one ... sad, as the polyps had a great `one white' pattern.

This one was wild, had a pair of starfish living in it, now reside in Seriatopora colonies. Survived the nudis as a small piece

Montipora corals are by far my favorite besides Gonioporas

they come in SOOO MANY FORMS and colors!

these are awsome

Im checking in with about 4 or 5 Wholesale distributers about different montiporas and have had good luck so far...

Hopefully I can place an order with them to get some rare ones

This is my M. undata. Still small but grows pretty fast. The leading edge is actually more purple in person. Beautiful piece. Definitely one of my favorites.

This one might be a M. confusa, but please correct me if I am wrong. It's starting to color up really nice recently. The leading edge is turning a light purple and the polyps are becoming more orange/red. Hoping that as soon as I add some T5 HO supplement, it'll color up even more. It's sitting on the sandbed so pretty far from the MH.

Hey, that neon Green base with the brown polyps... that is Monti Confusa right???

there is a LFS here in Alabama that has some of those and the person who was selling them called the porites... I was like, no way that is proites, the growth and polyps are all wrong!

anyway... the person also sold me a frag of puple base red polyp something and called it porites too.. but I am thinking I got another encrusting monti...

the ONLY colors of porites I have seen are brown, yellow and neon purple

none of them had growth ANYTHING like those frags at the LFS...




I just got my Monti Rainbow Danae from FRAGGLE REEF !!! Kinda a odd shape frag, but it will "bloom" out and grow very nicely...

I also got a FREE SUPERRRR AWWWWSOME BLOW YOUR HEAD OFF frag of Monti Digitata " SUPERMAN" and MAN is it BRIGHT!

I cant wait to see it grow!!!
