Sweet Mark...you survived the nudi's too:thumbsup:
About 1/4 made it ... long stuggle. With the regularity of stressing them, it just proved too much for some [or weakened them to where nudis were worse, IMO].

I also have this guy sitting on top of my PC, next to me ... grown from a quarter size frag....

If you collect Montipora, learn about Montipora nudibranchs.

[click for depressing photo]

They'll easily do this to you, too. I'm quite particular about what goes in my tank now, with treatment/inspection at 10x magnification or QT + then above for the very few pieces I'll even consider anymore.

Hate to bring people down, but caution is good. The eggs can be very difficult to find ... and all it takes is one [and time].

Mark, how long did it take the nudis to destroy that cap? I had a beautiful green cap about 2/3 the size of yours and it was wiped out in 2-3 days. I don't think it was nudis tho b/c of the timeframe and the fact that no other Montis in my tank was affected.

Good advice Mark...caution is best. I spend quite a bit of time treating and inspecting anything that goes in the tank these days. I've already had my bout with them and don't wish it upon anyone.

This is an great thread. I know most of you are keeping them under MH but is there anyone with T5HO? I was tlaking with Anthony Calfo and ran my lighting setup with 4X39w and he thought it would be fine (40g Breeder). Mainly looking at Caps, danae, digitata, and Foveolata. Not meaning to leave anything out. Dont mean to high Jack this thread either.
