What is the best predator of Montipora eating nudis?

Ive been dipping in Bayer every other day for weeks to kill the nudis that have hatched but it has no effect of the eggs...I feel like I could dip everyday for the rest of my life and the nudis would continue to hatch.

What's the best natural predator??

Unfortunately, they can all jump.... It is also unusual for them not to hunt, but I have heard of cases. I have 7. They all hunt!.

manual removal is the best way I've found to get rid of monti nudis. Razor blade, and super glue. Basically scrape off the nudis, scrape off the eggs and cover all non-living monti, and plug/rock the monti is growing on with super glue. more so the areas you can't reach with a razor blade or see. They don't have a free floating larvae stage and they always lay eggs on or very close to their food source

My condolences. MEN are tough. I finally tossed my infected frags. In theory weekly dips and manual removal should do it.

Experiences seem very variable.
I've seen nudi's in many tanks. I've not yet seen silver belly wrasses not clear them, although I have heard of this several times. I'm not sure why they seem to be problematic.... Same with pyramid snails.

AEFW are a bit more difficult IMO. No SPS reef should be run without wrasses...

I don't currently have a wrasse but I was thinking of a pair of radiant wrasses for my 150? Know if they are a decent predator?

I have a single Halichoeres hortulanus in my tank. It is very effective against MEN and even pyramidellid snails. It cleared all MEN many months ago. I also have/had pyramidellid snails. I strongly believe that it cleared all the pyramidellid snails too because I have seen any snails on my clams nearly a month now. These fish grow big, so I bought a baby one. I agree with Mo that wrasses are a must if have sps corals and/or clams. Wrasses also eat brown/red flatworms so they are good for lps too.

I had a MEN problem in my last tank. It was at the point where I was removing a dozen or so a day, and this was in a 10 gallon nano!! They had gotten so out of control that you'd see them cruising all over the place not just around the montipora coral. I added a sixline wrasse and after about a week of him in the tank I never noticed a single one again. I know sixlines can be mean and aggressive but it was definitely worth it. I have noticed a couple pop up again on a new monti frag and intend to go pick up another sixline this week.
