nice to see it here Mo, I thoroughly recommend anyone to go onto UR and read Mo's full thread. One of the very few UK threads that has the detail and discussions that you have here on RC

Hi Mo,i have seen you have a good camera now:)so let's see these pic's.

Nice i can follow it here from the start, your thread on U R takes too much time too read it all for me:wavehand:

Interesting to see the tank construction pictures - thank you for sharing that!
I was following along until the silicone on the overflow bulkheads. Why would they do that rather than using gaskets and lock rings?

The gaskets and lock rings perish over time in saltwater. Plus whilst ozone only lasts about 6 secs in saltwater it too can perish the rings.

wow.... I love the step by step documentation! Keep it up! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks. I'll try and port the pics over.... :spin2:

Well done Mo!
Good job with the camera.

Thanks Kevin. I had to get a new camera to get some decent pics. Now I need a good photographer too!

I asked them to. I didn't want to risk the gaskets failing as they can degrade over time. It wouldn't have been major though as the only holes in the tank are behind the weirs, so I could have easily replaced the rings if they did fail. This way, I don't have to worry about it.

+1 on the silicone for the bulkheads.....

Thanks Corey!.

Very nice, Mo !
I like the parrot !

Hey Jan!,
I saw how you guys keep parrots in your reefs, so got the same one!. I photographed the one in Peter's tank and waited for the same one to show up here. It actually took a while.

Agreed.

Thanks All....

Great build thread MO i have also read half of your thread on UR before but it is a little long

Thanks Zoney,

That thread has been running for a few years and I think might be the most read thread on UR forum.

You can narrow that thread by searching for the thread starter's posts.

I'll try and get the pics over here, so you might get a quick run through of the pics!.

Mo
