Thanks. It is Electrolux ICON series. We bought the same for the gas range and then switched to Bosch for the dishwasher.

More fish room work done. Cabinets and sink section almost done.

Since most people like to snoop in other peoples cupboards I thought I would open them up to share.

I thought it would be easier to post a video of the light rack I made. It is operated by remote control. Currently I have mounted four Radion Gen 3 Pros on it. I have a fifth still to add if I need it. I am also considering adding a couple of Kessils in case of shading and to increase the shimmer effect. Also of note, I just purchased the Neptune Lunar Module with a string of 5 lunar lights to add on as well.

I like that light rack. Are there any safety's or stops incase it gets bumped or anything?

It consists of two heavy duty track actuators linked together electronically, and physically (by the rack itself). I added a wireless interface from the same company as the actuators each come with a manual switch. With the wireless interface they work in unison. I exchanged messages with a reefer from this "Large Tank Forum" about his rack. He was kind enough to point me to the same actuators. Our attachment points are a little different but they are basically the same. It is pretty solid and I don't think you would need to worry about bumping it. As far as stops go, as soon as you let go of the button on the wireless remote it stops. The actuators themselves have built in stops for both top and bottom of travel.

Can you send me (PM or on here) a link to the place where you got the parts for the setup? I'd like to possibly do something like that on my system to replace the rope & pulley system I have.

Kitchen is almost done. It was very dated and old.

Now looks like this. More contemporary and a lot more room. My iPhone camera does not do a very good job taking pictures. For some reason it seems to give a yellow cast to everything...

Bought 250 pounds of Real Reef Rock and 120 pounds of Carib Sea live sand. The guys at JL Aquatics picked out all the nice rock for me. :D

My daughter was scrubbing a small batch of hermits and snails for quarantine and we found three of these on them. Look like Asternia starfish.

I love asterina sea stars, but they can reach plague proportions over time. Then they become a great excuse to get a harlequin shrimp... or two. And now that harlequins are being successfully bred domestically I expect we will begin to see them more regularly.

I have never had a problem with them. I like to see how big an individual will get. They usually don't last too long in my tank. Not sure what's eating them but I assume it's a combo of wrasses and hawkfish.

Mine eat my Zoas! And nothing eats them. Like Dave said... excuse to get a harlequin or two.

From what I've read on them, there are many different types of asterinas. None of them get much bigger than a half-inch or so. Only about five percent of the species bother corals. The rest are excellent algae and detritus eaters - real benefits to your tank. A few species regularly propogate by dividing their bodies down the middle. That's why you see so many irregular shapes. These are the ones that can get a bit too popular in your tank, and invite the need to introduce a harlequin shrimp. Not a bad excuse in my book.
