My new clowns seem really happy in the 125 gallon tank. They're tank bred and usually cruise the tank back and forth with a little snip at each other here and there. Hopefully the dominance is figured out soon.
The thing that bothers me is the one stays near a koralia 4 powerhead when I first put it in the tank. I shut it off to prevent anything happening to him. Now as he roams the tank more he always goes near the other powerhead it seems and it appears he's strong enough to pull himself out of the pull from the powerhead, but I always run over there to unplug it if he gets too close. Then I turn it back on when he leaves that area.
I was thinking (if I get permission  ) of possibly setting up the empty 24 gallon aquapod I have in the basement with maybe an inch of black moon sand with just rocks since the light fixture that comes with it is only a 55w compact fluorescent. Right now they don't host anything in the main tank. All there is similar to an anemone is a hammer coral which they have zero interest in. The one clown sleeps in a turned off, unplugged koralia 4.
Any ideas if they should be fine or pull them to the aquapod and they'll have their own tank? If this is the route I should take, what do you think about hooking it up to the main tank? Just put one of the return lines into the AP and the AP return line into the DT?
Thanks.
