Moving day 11 Nov

Need to move my 125 gallon tank from upstairs to downstairs. Calvin415 will be there to help me on Saturday the 11th, who else can help? I only need 2-3 others to help with this. I will get up early and drain the tank and move the corals/livestock/rock/sand and figure some time around 10am should be good. We need to drill 5 holes in the rear glass too.

Please respond here so we can get an acurate count.

You already are counting me in, but I figure I'll post so it looks like more. ;)

Count me in! That is unless I'm in the delivery room (what are the chances?) :P

I lend a hand only thing i will need is some directions , and a time you wanna start ealy or late wont bother me any.. Then let the move begin..!!!

Paul, I posted this over in Cliff thread, but figured it belonged here more... If you want to get Cliff's 125 we could set it up ahead of time and allow you to work at your own pace...

Sorry it's not a great pic, but it's the best I could do quick... Hopefully it gives you an idea.

Then you do an external durso like so...

Eric! Thats what I had in mine for a 150. Im hoping to have it by the end of 2007. I like the corner overflow that does not take a lot of room.

Russ if you don't want it to take up any room you could also do external overflows so it doesn't take up any room... The wall of the tank becomes the overflow wall and the external box collects and drains the water. :)

If it were me, I'd go 3/4" on the sides and 1/2" on the top and bottom (doing the same for my dad's 60x36x24) You could get away with 1/2" for the whole thing but I like to overbuild. :) LMK if you need any help...

Change in plans, I am picking up a 125 tomorrow and will drill it for the CLM and overflows. I will post up if I need any help. Thanx all who responded.

Sorry for the delay on the overflow box Paul, I'll try to get it finished tonight... Since it's one surface to turn the corner into an overflow I'll describe the bottom which is a triangle... 8" wide and 8" long which making the box 12" on the diagonal with a clean spill over. It's 6" tall so you should have room to work. Right now it's 1/4" thick clear and I'll be laminating 1/8" black over it tonight then all that's left is polishing. I'll post some pics tonight of the progress.

I think I am good, Russ, and everyone else that responded. I should have the plumbing complete and the tank in place tomorrow for leak testing. Once I verify that there are no leaks, I will drain it and install the overlfow box Eric D is making. I should be able to move the inhabitants starting Friday. That is the plan anyway.

It's done! :) I'll drop it off on my way home tomorrow after work if that's cool, if you need it sooner, shoot me a PM and I'll see about heading out for lunch. :D
