I'm actually pretty proud of finding this and thought others may like the tip. I think anemones are amazing creatures, that unfortunately don't always behave. Let's face facts most people get nems because they are aesthetically pleasing, but sometimes the ideal spot you pick for them isn't always their ideal spot. This won't always work because if you pick a bad spot the nem will just move anyway.
So here's how you move the little fella...
First of all be gentle, if you rip or tear the foot your nem is sure to die.
Ideally the nem is on a flat surface like the wall and you could GINGERLY!!!!! Massage the foot until it lets go (May take several minutes)
My BTA was wedged deep in a crevice in the live rock. In this case, point a power head right on it. Now if you have a power head that blasts out 850gph like mine it could be bad for the nem so directly indirect flow is needed. (Directly indirect meaning make the flow near the nem high without actually pointing it on it. Best case you have a 50gph power head laying around and can point it directly at the base of the nem. Now eventually the flow change will eventually **** it off and the foot will start to let loose. At this point you can attempt the VERY GENTLE foot rub so you can catch it when it lets go or continue with the power head.
Hope it works out for you
