MP10 Issue

Just recently hooked up a used MP10 and every time I go to change the settings, it goes to Reef Crest (yellow mode) and locks on 40%. I cant change it unless I unplug it but once I do, it only stays on the newly selected mode for about 1min.

Any suggestions?

Never heard about this issue before, did you try to reset the memory?

On ecotech's website there are videos on how to perform a soft reset...Should clear any stored memory settings. Hope that helps, here is the link

Before the power supply went out on one of my MP40's, it had some erratic behavior similar to yours. Maybe check the output voltage of the power supply?

Before anything else though, I would do the memory reset as MurphysLaw stated.

I'm curious what was going on. I had it connected and controlled wirelessly from my Apex via WXM. Glad you got it figured out. Let me know if I can help. Jeff

Might have been because it disconnected from the Apex. No biggie, all better now :thumbsup:

I was probably still a slave on the WXM, and going into fallback mode?

Memory clear would have fixed that.

Yes, when ever you buy a used piece of equipment like a controller, Vortech pump, AI Light (Anything programmable) it is always wise to Reset it to the factory default settings.
