MP40 after Repairs Still has problems.

Hi I sent in one mp40 for repairs since it kept falling off the glass. Well it is still doing the same thing. You put a new pin spacer sticker on rebuilt the wet side with a new magnet shaft also, the sticker is squished down and you can see how it gradually slides off as it loses alignment. The other mp40 does the same thing also. Today I will try the new wet side on the older pump. Any thougts? It seems to happen more often when I turn down the flow at night to constant slow. The tank has 1/2 inch glass and the spacer is set correctly, 5/8 has been tried also with similar results.

Hi Rob,

If I recall correctly we ran your pump for some time and didn't experience any problems with it. This is frustrating to say the least. Please email service directly at service@ecotechmarine.com to speak with Steve, he can go over what's going on and see what we need to do.

If you believe the sticker bunching up is creating this problem then you can feel free to remove the sticker (but do mark the spacer with a sharpie or something so that you can remember the right settings).

Tank has to be dry, also.
Make sure the rubber disc is being used.

Hi,

I have the exact same issue, somehow the magnet on the dry side lost strength and it will slide down just as yours. I was wondering if your pump was still under warranty and if not, were you charged for the repair??
