I like the look of it myself.. Besides once corals grow in it will look great. In most tanks you can't even see most of the rock just the outline of them.
Are they going to light that tank with just 2 400watters?

Sometimes people like to stick with products they know, used and trust. Ray just likes certain products. If you look back a few pages he also picked out a downdraft skimmer for this setup which I must say was working very well when I saw it 2 days ago. There will be many times during the week that no one will be looking after this tank so the items used have to work and without any tinkering. This is why he did not pick some of the newer toys that have not been around as long. He needed more security. The skimmer has some really cool features and incorporates a Precision Marine WC610 - Waste Collector. With this the skimmer can never over flow the waste cup!!!! The ping pong ball in the collection cup will float up to block off the air which then reroutes the water. Whoever invented this is pretty smart and all you guys who use downdraft skimmers are lucky to have this feature!!!! I am sure I am not the only one who has flooded their house due to skimming really wet and flooding the collection cup. Man I have done this about 4 times in the past 3 months alone. I am dangerous lol.

Whats up with the outdated controller and used PH probes and stuff?

Eww that can be a new game called Nog Pong. If I get the ping pong in the cup of nog you have to drink it!!! lol

I for got to add to the earlier post, those probes are brand new not used just a fyi.

Awesome build thread! It is tough to beat a tried and true ETSS 800. That is one of the best skimmers that I have ever run or seen in action and I have seen/run/had many. Keep us posted on the build and good luck!

The tank will have a little of everything in it, a mixed reef with all sorts of corals and clams.
