Mr. Cena's 800 gallon Reef Tank

so um how do you go about placing corals in that thing? hold your breath and skin dive down (body oil a problem?), or just toss them in and hope they land somewhere that looks nice ;)? also whats up with the light coming primarily from one side at a time? pendants alternate I pressume?, 1000watt for that depth? I admit I mostly looked at the pictures. The par reading near the top looks to be off the chart how long did it take to acclimate the acros to that much light (looks dangerous)...

The guy Ray who did the tank made his own tools for the maintenance of the tank and the placeing of the livestock.As for the lights the go east to west and there all on for 2hrs of the day. All the corals on the top where all aclimated for this tank and are growing extremely fast theres about 20 types up there.,just cant see them but as it matures it should look great.
 
These pics as said before do this aquarium no justice,Ive seen this aquarium a number of times and each time it looks better and better.The dims on tank again if you read the thread were his dims. To me when a customer asks, hey this is what i want to do ,unless gravity wont alow it you do it cause they will find someone else.And the coments about looking "natural" nobodys aquarium looks "NATURAL".Obviously its doing its job if they keep talking about it.To me the tank shows talent and vision,yes it does look odd now,but its not about the now its the later that matters.Got to remember its only 3or 4 months old its only just begun.
 
this tank would look better if you capped off the top, took off the front pane and tipped it onto its back...THEN, it would be a cool tank
 
The prob with that is it then would look like everyone elses tank. Are there pics of your aquarium here for us to see would love to see your "NATURAL" aquarium

Fantastic tank!

Criticism is only valuable when it's constructive. Flaming a person's tastes or their tank isn't constructive; it's simply rude. The fact that everyone has an opinion shouldn't provide a person with a license to freely rant and rave in this way.

These negative comments give RC a bad name. What a bloody disappointment!

i just don't like tall tanks. i'm tagging along to see how it fills out, but i don't think it'll ever be much of a tank.

it's my opinion and i'm sticking to it. if you don;t like, tough luck.

That was not a request. I'll never understand why people feel the need to drag someone's choice down. How boring it would be if we all had the same tastes.
 
Man, I really, really, give a rats poop cutter what any of you haters think. The tank is what it is, love it, hate it, whatever. I can assure you no one cares what you think. This project was designed from day one to be different. It is not your tank so don't worry about it.
 
I personally love the tank and im excited to see more pictures in the future! by running your mouth your just gonna ruin the thread for us that are really interested in the tank! Dyraxe who cares what the haters think just keep the pics coming!!!

I like the tall tank, it's different, not something I could do logistically, but it's cool!
