Mr. Cena's 800 gallon Reef Tank

Just spent the last hour reading this thread, wow!! Now I know why Ray is never at the shop! For the last 6 or so months I have heard conversations about a tank of imense proportions, seen weirdo equipment, lighting etc. Even saw them take delivery of a GIGANTIC magnet used for cleaning. Now it's all coming together! Nice work my brotha! And he doesn't just work for celebrities, LOL!

Peace!

Mr. Ray as i know him, lol.. i think this tank is stunning, Rays work is awsome i dont know many people that can put a tank together as well as he does

One will appreciate seeing these kind of tall tanks in person; these tanks are stunning for viewing fish. One may find not too interesting looking up to the top placement corals but no one would deny the beautiful of viewing both top and bottom of the fish.

I like the tall tank, it's something different. I get bored of all the long shallow tanks. Kudos to Mystic Marine for being bold and not trying to replicate what's been done a million times. If it were my tank, I would probably do a deep ocean predator tank tho.

got the new issue of a great fitness mag, has Cena on the front, I was hoping to see his fish tank in the article. Man he does some amazing things in the gym.

Keep up the photos, I sure enjoy seeing them.

Been quite a few weeks since some tank shot updates. Id like to see how the tank is growing in / and recent additions. Perhaps someone should post that icon saying this post needs pictures!!!

:D

I know I am interested in seeing more photos hopefully within the next month I will be doing an aquarium similar in size so I would love to see more of this setup

I have becoming more, and more a fan of the shallow reef, but this has to be one of the best examples of a deep reef that I have ever seen. The rock work is incredible, and it will look awesome once it fills in. It is great that you can see through it also. Is it fully visible from the other side?

Good Job guys!!!

Very nice concept and design here! Tall tanks are pretty rare and this one here should look great once it has filled out some.

Kudos to the designers and company that set the system up.

I like it!

I talked to John Cena at Gold's Gym in Greensboro when he was in town for a show. He was in early. He didn't show off or anything and took time to do photos with some women and kids. I talked to him a minute and thought he was football player or something. Doesn't have a Mass. I actually didn't know who he was till a few days later they put one of those fathead type posters up in the lobby.I was more a Jimmy Superfly Snuka fan when I was 12. It was more a sideshow at midnight then. He might be up for parole soon thinking about it.

Looks great but wouldn't want to maintain that thing. I cringed at the acrylic even though Spartech is high quality. I guess it is a weight trade off for going to that size.

It's a great setup but I just have to think any poker matches in the room could be very interesting. Can't wait to see stocking results

I meant Boston, Mass accent. He has plenty of mass.

If I were taking care of it I'd do a dissolved oxygen test near the bottom either with a probe or closed sample. Probably OK.

Congrats on the project. Nice to see something different for a change. Will be much nicer once the tank matures, especially toward the bottom of the tank. Sponge etc will be more noticable, normally not seen in most reef tanks with brighter lighting so close to the sandbed. Love the anthias in the tank, perfect tank for them...deep. Liked the LED pics too.

Congrats again for going for something different and more challenging. Glad to read you will be stocking the rest of the tank with raised/farmed corals.

Good job!
