Debi, thanks for taking care of this thread personally. Rather than locking it because some people keep posting as we've seen recently, delete them & ban them so we can enjoy watching this tank grow in.

Looking forward to more pictures.

A very interesting size, I also am wondering how it gets serviced and how corals get placed. It's going to be very nice looking once everything fills out.

Agreed. It would be a shame to lock this thread because of ignorant people - they end up winning and we loose out on seeing how this tank progresses.

I too am looking forward to some more pictures - ESPECIALLY some that shows Ray working on the tank. Do you have any way to shoot some video?

Well said Marc,

I can't believe some of the things I just read. I just started coming back to this site. I don't remember it ever getting this rude in the past (not even the DSB vs BB threads).

Mr. Cena's tank was built to his taste, and the thing that makes Reef Central so fun to read are all the various ways people put their systems together. I am a fan of the unique and I look forward to seeing this tank grow out over the years.

Peoples opinions

Peoples opinions

I don't think threads should be locked. I feel the people who wright rude and nasty opionions should just be removed from the RC website. If you have nothing good to say just leave it alone.

I peronally like the concept of this tank and use this website for ideas being new to reef keeping. I have seen a few ideas I do not like but just move on and leave it alone. Everybody has thier choice in what they like.

I have seen some tanks Ray has done from a store he used to own back in Stoughton and he has some amazing ideas.

I don't know how anyone can say this or anyones tank is ugly. We as reefers design our tanks to the way we feel they should look...take other peoples opinions and do what we please with them. Some people have nicer tanks than others because maybe they have more time/money or even desire to produce such a nice tank. I have been following this thread from the beginning and i think the best part is watching them try to solve the problems of such a vertical tank. It's different, it's unique, and it's freakin cool, and I wish i had the money to have such an "ugly" (not my quote) tank like this one. Great job to the builders and great job to John Cena for allowing them to go wild with this tank!

i would say welcome to reef central:confused: but you have been here for 5 years

Not New to RC but very new to reef keeping. I drooled and dreamed over this webiste for a long time before my wife finnaly said just go for it and my dreaming and drooling has become a dream in progress.
I did alot of picking Rays mind before I jumped into the idea switching from a two 55 gal and three 29 gal freshwater tanks to a reef. I got rid of 5 tanks to get one 75gal reef and am in the process of designing a 400g woody which I plan on doing something very dif than a normal plywood tank in fact may not be any or very little wood at all. If and When I start the project I will post the build and I will give credit to the many peoples tanks I have been following on RC and Ray for helping me.

Notice the two clowns havent posted a pic of THEIR tanks? lol. Its definitely a challenging tank, but I think its awesome. Its definitely cool to see a big wall of water and tropical fish in a room.

When I suggested we move on, I was referring to everyone. When the supporters won't let it alone either is when they get locked. This fuels the flames as much as the posters who are trying to drag it down.

This is my last warning. If you don't want to talk about the tank specifically then don't post.

I'd like to see some more equipment shots now that the tank has been running for a while. Any chance of some shots behind the tank? If I recall correctly the sump was in a closet? Just wondering how that turned out.

can we get an updated livestock list and any plans on what is going to be added latter?

the last time i got to see it , it was the thickest foam i had ever seen come out of a skimmer and the cool thing is that it has an auto shut off .so when the collection tank fills it shuts the air off so it wont overflow into the sump area.I thought that was pretty cool myself

the filter, skimmer and chiller were all designed to look like a old cars engine. because the owner is really into the classics Ray went and putt a stainless edellbrock air intake on the downdrafts air intakes with the braided hoses and ignition switch for the lights in closet and the chiller cover has mopar orange flames being done on it. its just done different all around i guess, but looks cool. There are a few other things just cant remember off hand

We need some pics of that. :D

Excellent job on the tank! I love the height of it and there's plenty of width to compliment it. A true "window to the sea". I would love to see how it looks with a little more maturity. :)

I want to see some of the tools used to maintain the tank.
Building some arms that angle and have clamping jaws that open and shut at angles would be awesome.
