It would work fine...they are all basically the same thing.

Chris
I was concered if iy can handle air of dual injector...

a friend of mine is selling his MRC calcium reactor. It's labeled as a CR Nano (single) but the footprint is 10" x 10" much like the CR-1.

So I have a few questions:
1. How many gallons can a CR Nano Handle?
2. Is the website wrong when it gives the CR nano footprint? Or might this be a newer version which has a smaller footprint?

Thanks =)

Ok, i love this skimmer , but now im getting irratated.
How can i minimize the time that the head colapses after i feed, touch the water, clean the skimmer cup etc. This is turning into the most sensitive skimmer i have ever owned. I keep my hands out of the tank, but if i have to, i wash them realy good. If i feed the tank, it takes hours, sometimes 24 hours for the skimmer to come back online. Is there a setting of the waterlevel in the neck that promotes better head retention? Heck, my aqua C never was this bad. On the flip side, when this skimmer skims, it kicks butt.

In the Do it yourself forum -you need to read Optimized Beckett, tells how to get more from your beckett skimmer it very little cost and to use a smaller pump to do it.

Can someone steer me in the direction of fixing a rattling beckett? I know somewhere in this thread it was talked about, but don't remember exactly where.....It was fine till I pulled the 1 beckett and put it back and the rattling is driving me nuts know....

Take the beckett apart. You will see a little piece that looks like an old bomb. You just superglue that to one side of the beckett housing to keep it from rattling. Might sound complicated, but it's not.You will see where there is a place for two tabs from the bomb to fit into the beckett housing. This is where I placed a small drop of superglue to hold it in place and stop the rattling.

Can someone please point me to the general vicinity of this ginormous thread where I can find info on hooking up ozone to my MRC2 dual injector skimmer?

Oh, the adapter is an after market thing? I thought it was something that needed to be tapped into the skimmer itself. It hooks up to the injectors? I should get two then?

I'll happily buy them. Wasn't trying to cheap out, just didn't know what I would be buying.

Yeah, it justn a little tee fitting that goes between the injector and the beckett body. They cost like $10 or something. Go to MRC's website, look at the skimmer section, and its in accessories. You'll only need 1. The only rub I found in installing mine is that I have the 3/8" norprene tubing coming from my ozonizer, and adapter has a John Guest 1/4" input. I just pulled the plastic compression fittting from the John Guest, and squeezed the norprene in- no worries.

I am with brokecoloreefer, I did a major cleaning of my MR-2 last week,
-Collection cup
-Neck
-Riser
-Box
-Beckett Injector.
It has been nearly a week and the foam is still very unstable and the foam level is going up and down. One minute it looks good and the next there is no foam anywhere to be found.
The last time I did a mjor cleaning like this was 4 months aog or so when I moved it from one tank to another and it did the same thing for about 2 weeks...
When skimming properly it is awesome but it seems it goes dead every time I touch it..
Why is this and how can this be fixed..

Does anybody have trouble with the CR-2R reactor keeping up with their alkalinty and calcium demands? I have the spray bar upgrade and the dual chamber. My tank with refugium is 300 gallons total. At 55 ml a minute and a ph of 7.0 out of the second chamber, i am only getting a DKH of 21, and it is a little hard to keep my alk higher than 8.3 in the tank and calcium above 380. If I speed up the effluent and the CO2 so they increase proportionetly the DKH of the effluent drops below 20, not enough dwell time in the reactor if you ask me. I am already have excess CO2 in the second chamber, what gives guys? I am a little frustrated and it just doenst seem this reactor can keep up with an SPS tank of 300 gallons. Am i wrong? Oh yeah and new ARM media in the chambers.

No not the coarse, I didn't know they made a new coarse material, i keep seeing where people are using the Gen-X media. I used to have a Korallin and it was to small for this new tank, but I never had trouble maintaining a DKH of 28-30 with it on my 150 gallon tank.

Try the corse ARM this will help with alk, and the calcium.MarineDepot had it drop ship from CaribSea who makes ARM.I hope this helps you.
