Any one heard from Andy lately? I was communiacting with him via e-mail and they just stopped...
I have had the same thing.

Well I hope he is OK... But right now I'm a little disappointed.. I don't want to go into details, so I hope if Andy reads this and he is OK, he can get back in touch with me ;)

I recently purchased Ereeific's 42" recirc. I was thinking about using the Sequence Uno Marlin for the recirc pump which is their 2050 gph pressure rated pump. I was also considering adding a 8x12 riser to this. My total water volume will be @ 350g and I'll be heavy stocked with a few big angels and tangs.

I was considering just running my Deltec skimmer with this skimmer as it is, but think I'll be better suited to expand this one instead. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Anyone? :D I would like to get some of your opinions before I call Andy.

He downgraded to a smaller cube and went with an Octopuss NW. He's got a thread going here
pay him a visit! :) He's a good guy.

To get more from you skimmer you need to make the 8 in dia tube 6 in longer and from bottom of the union to the bottom of the skimmer cup 7 in long. A long #2 riser will not help the output of the skimmer only a short one will. Andy can help you with the change.

 I was, but then we went to a smaller system and didn't need such a large skimmer.

When we go back to a bigger tank, i'll be going back to a beckett, but that won't be for awhile.

Thanks for your help! :)
I was glad to help you as you can see becketts can be built to be better taller is not better for becketts, but wide and low is.A 12 in dia riser about 14 in high is a good start for a new skimmer and a short #2 riser. There is no need to push bubbles up a long 41/2 tube to reach the collection cup . Have a good day Ralph

MY skimmer has stopped working.....
Can anyone help me pinpoint my problem?
A few days ago I noticed that the water level in my skimmer was down and bubbles were not climbing up the chambers. I shut the air intake off and the water level was about 3-4 inches up the first chamber, then I turned the air back on and the level did not go up much, I seem to be lacking something but I am not sure weather the pump is not pumping enough water or something is blocking the air intake? I took it apart this evening and cleaned the beckett and all chambers but still nothing... HELP please.....

I have an MRC-2CR calcium reactor. What settings do you run yours at ? Bubbles per min? Amount of effluent in a min? or drips per min? I can't seem to keep my calcium level stable.
