They are 100 gallon tanks from rotational mounding here in Utah.

Can someone help me with the parts for my MRC MR-2R Recirculating Protein Skimmer?
I need two replacements for the cylinders that house the becketts. They have always leaked where the air inlet screws in and now one has cracked causing a huge leak. I notice the other has a small crack too.

Problem is that they are only sold as a complete assembly (Aquarium Specialty) for 115 bucks each. I like the skimmer, but $230 plus shipping is too high a price to pay. I will not attempt to repair the cracks because the consequences of possible failure are too great.

Anyone know if I can get just the cylinders?

Jay on your new sump I see that the water goes from the sock area down under the baffle so the skimmer area/ fuge but why are there teeth slots above the first baffle?

For what it's worth. I just got the same skimmer a week ago. When I went to store to look at them, one of the housings for the becketts was cracked at same place, at the hole for air inlet. New unit. They put a brand new one on for me. Great. Got it home and while setting up, I screwed one of the inlets in maybe 3 turns, not even tight, and crack. Same spot. They are gonna replace but def something to watch out for. Especially if you have to buy new ones. I think it's a weak point or its not being drilled and threaded properly.

Hello I am thinking of joining the MRC club I am looking at what I think is an old style MRC MR2, it does not have a second port to add a 2nd injector can this be changed also can you mod a MR2 to make it a MR2R.

Sorry i wasn't sub to this thread but yes overflow protection. So far it works great. If one sock get clogged, the water flows into another sock until all four socks are clogged. At that point the water flows through the protection.
