MTRC nomination for 2011

im wondering how will this be sone....im guessing maybe start a thread titled 2011 mtrc elections? and then everyone puts the names down and the job they want to nominate them for?.....i can only think that be the fairest way sue to tons of members dont or cant make the meetings

Nominations are made here! The meeting is on the 27th and meant for discussions about nominees and whatever. Voting will take place over the next week, not just at the meeting. Atleast this is what I gather from earlier comments made.
 
so i take it its only 3 jobs to be filled.........so all the work load will be left to 3 people again pretty much.....oh well...i still feel the group needs a person to take over the meetings part of things but thats just my 2 cents and well ill shut up now......happy reefing

Isn't there an Event Coordinator position too...Andy's wife was/is doing that correct?
 
The PR director is a BOD position and will need to be elected, same as IT....

I am willing to continue as IT, however I may need to have surgery in the next few months so if that comes about I will be MIA for a few months.

Lets remember IT s a BOD position and not just a committee chair. It entails more than the website. It entails the operations of the club along with every other BOD member. I just wanted to throw that out there for all potential candidates for any position. It can be very rewarding and it can also be a pain in the backside.

Pandarin, if you are truly interested in the IT position drop me a line and lets chat. I will fill you in on what the components are.
 
We really don't need the extra person. Only if the new bod can stick with it don't back out and quit on us. Work good togather Like the last 2 that quit.

I think bill and Mel can handly it. Also I can help every now and then if they need me to.
 
The fact remains that there are these position that are required to be voted on:
President = Bill
Vice President = Mel
Secretary = MapN4Reef
Treasurer = ???
IT = Pandarin
PR Mario for PR. This is the position he keeps speaking about so here you go Mario your names in the hat know.


Those are my votes not really sure about the treasurer anyone want it?

Sounds like 2 very good canidates. Bill has the determination to get the club back on its feet again. With someone like him in there, I would'nt even mind being in office :)

Well I think you will make a great treasurer and will nominate you for this Important position now. The Club needs a lot of new Equipment and a person that will keep the balance sheet straight, Along with keeping the Club Solvent for yearly expenses and an emergency fund. But we also need to spend some on needed items for the members.

Run for one of those positions Mario and take charge of the meetings.

If Elected I will handle all meetings myself, And have already found the club a free centrally located meeting hall that will be at our disposal anytime needed. And it will be free as long as there are no damages to the facility and it is left the way we find it.

+1 Agree that too many BOD members just make it more difficult to get all of them together and harder to get things done. The Original BOD members that were from the begining are more than enough to run the club IMO
Also too many chiefs and no Indians never work!

I agree with Bill. I think he will be able to manage everything efficiently, and with Bill and Mel running the show, and a full BOD I do not think PR would be necessary.

I would suggest a vote at theg meeting concerning positions themselves if you want to change it up. Last year I was the only vote that was against IT being a bod position. I think it,s a committee chair position.
