Im informed that you can use a spilter on a single contoller, but is the multi worth the some what larger amout of cash.
The control of the multicontroller is better, it is like having two single controllers taht you can coordinate so they are opposite in there programming so one pump is off while the other is on or slow when the other is fast or idling while the other is pulsing.
