Multiple clownfish pairs in a 450?

Even in a 450g (8x3x2.5) tank is it unwise to add multiple clownfish pair to it? I assume I am always at risk of Nem's traveling closer to the other along with their tenants. Thoughts/Experiences?

my dad has a 225 with 7 or 8 clowns. Each pair hosts it's own thing. You see them nip at each other every now and then but they all do well.

You can, but do you really want several fish that can become aggressive and have issues with in the future?

There's many other fish in the sea :)

You also need to remember that clowns (specially paired) are a PITA to do maintenance in the tank, they can give you nasty bites. At 30" deep they could become very annoying.

I have a friend with a 550. He used to have two pairs of clownfish but they became so aggressive he removed the female from each pair.

Maybe you're still subscribed. We're they the same species? What species were they?

I have a pair of black percs and a trio of regular percs.

They all comingle without issues. Sometimes the Blacks are on one side of the tank and the percs on the other.

I have a giant Aussie Elegance that the Percs host in as a trio or as a pair. This is on the far right of the tank.

The Black percs stick to the middle of the tank where they host in several different BTA. Sometimes the Black Percs are together and sometimes they are paired with one of the orange.

I've been contemplating two species in a 6' x 3' x 27" 300g. A pair of some type of occ and our current single pink skunk. I've read most of the threads out there, but most of them are in reference to the same species.
