Anyone here ever kept more than 1 wrasse at a time?

I want to have the following in my tank - 130cm*70cm(w)*55cm(h) - 450L
Yellow coris/Canary
Fairy wrasse of sorts - dependent on what i get, exquisite or carpenters
Radient/iridis wrasse
Six line - will be last added fish

Scaped like so:

I need to figure out a way to secure my door as well on my stand as we have a child coming in a couple of months... I don't have a two sided door though...

Well it looks great to me....

One opinion i can add on multiple wrasses from my experiences in the 60 cube.. We first got a Orangeback fairy Wrasse, then decided to add a flasher wrasse and lubbocks (both shy fish) and well the orangeback bugged them both to death within weeks. Last weekend we got a sixline wrasse, and the orangeback doesn't look twice at'em.

Anyways, i'm sure with a much bigger tank the success rate will be better, but wrasses are generally peaceful fish, and great in a reef environment.

I'm loving your aquascape How did you glued them?

By other way I have a mystery wrasse and a cleaner wrasse at one point I added a six line wrasse and he would chase the other 2 wrasses all over the tank so I would pass one a six line wrasse

thanks gents

the rocks are drilled through the centre and plastic rods through the centre but the rods have an acrlic base square to prevent the rock touching the base

Having multiple wrasses is certainly possible, but you will need a cover over the top of your tank first. They love to jump and it's only a matter of time before they jump out if you don't have a cover that completely covers the top. 1/4 inch clear mesh is by far, the choice of wrasse lovers.

I had 6 wrasses in a 92 now living happy in a 120. Mostly halicores? family with a mystery thrown in there. There is definetly a level of dominance but since they were added at the same time i have little aggression and its balanced out so no fish ever gets picked on more then a simple chase around some rockwork. Oddly my Volricks actually solved my aggressive dottyback problem as he is seemingly terrified of the large wrasses and now doesnt bother anyone.

Having several wrasses in a tank looks amazing and lots of movement. Dont add a mystery or six line tell the end though if you dont add them all at the same.

Also yes you need a cover. I have a mesh fitting and still had 3 jumpers make it through the seams (had to really make sure the edges were locked down). but all survived thanks to a vocal and curious cat.

Your wrasses look so colorful and happy, Bradley. With that many fish, do they ever fight? Beautiful tank too!

absolutely beautiful! hey what are people takes on Pyle's wrasses. i just got a trio and have heard mixed reviews. Id like to keep multiple wrasses as well. thanks guys.

Thanks, There is a pecking order, but most all know that and know where to go and not. I've never had a fight to the death, mostly just a little showing off and small chases. The key is keeping them fat and happy.
It's a lot of work, but it's my passion.

Bradley, that is one awesome tank. And yeah, I know I've said that before. LOL
But it bears repeating.
I don't know what I envy more: Your wrasses or your angels?!
