Mushrooms and SPS?

Tank is full of shrooms, any chance I could get back into SPS or should I try to get rid of some of them first? I'd like to keep the orange ones.

i don't see why you can't keep them IMO.... i mean obviously sps corals need almost undetectable no3 po4 levels and shrooms and zoas like a little n03 but as long as you cater to the sps the shrooms shouldn't bother them i don't think....i have shrooms and zoas and my sps are doing great...the shrooms/zoas arent thriving since i keep my levels almost undetectable and i do run carbon probably more then others to help with any chemical warfare but unless i'm missing something which i may be it shouldn't be an issue

Shrooms in my experience don't like the strong flow needed for the sps, as well as the shrooms shading and stinging the base of sps. If given enough room from the mushrooms and the shrooms get a quiet corner of flow I think it would be alright, but they'll most likely outgrow the sps for space quicker

This.. It's gonna be tough to keep them away from the bases of the sps.. They WILL sting and kill the sps so keeping them separate is priority..

I regret putting them in my system; they sting from the base up and even kill the small frags. I am trying to get rid of mine but too many to kill and I do now want to exchange all my rock but seem like I am just delaying the inevitable.

If you can get rid of all of them do so. It is a never ending battle to keep the shrooms from destroying the bases and branches of sps. The shrooms grow fast and will anchor in small crevaces between sps colonies making removal difficult.

I wish I never had them in my tank to start with. One of the things mushrooms dont like is a strong dose of light from LEDs and as said before strong flow.

Any suggestions how to remove, seems dental pick doesn't want to lift them off.

Just take the rock to the LFS for credit or sell it locally and get new rock.

I've used AiptasiaX to melt mine away, they don't like it.
