Had my first scare with a fish today. I have 5 chromis and a fairy wrasse so far. Just added 3 dispar anthias. It took them about 15 min to leave the safety of the rocks and school with the chromis. The wrasse spreads his fins and chases the anthias around every few minutes. After about 2 hours I'm marinating the skirt steak for tomorrow's dinner when my girlfriend hears a splash. Now, as you can see, my tank has a canopy. But that doesn't stop the wrasse from jumping into the overflow! So I slide the canopy forward enough to look into the overflow to net him out but I don't see him. I'm afraid he got sucked into the siphon so I remove the 1.5" pvc from the overflow and open the gate valve all the way and pray he's fine in my sump. Well, I can't find him. I look all over the floor. Nothing. I finally give up looking for him. An hour later he pops back up in the tank. He must have jumped into the main display while I was trying to get into the overflow. I almost wanted to fish him out and slap him around for all the trouble he caused!
