I finally got the tank on the stand last night.

I left all trim, and doors off the stand and canopy till I have it in place and ready fill.

Lot's more to come.

I couldn't get a good pic of the tank because I have the tank sitting 3' away from the wall, for I can do the plumbing this week.

The tank was made on Oct 12th and I picked it up on the 14th. They suggest waiting 3 weeks from the date it was made, so I had plenty of time to get everything done.

Is that a glasscages tank? Were you pleased with the workmanship and customer service? I'm thinking about going with them for my tank upgrade.

Yes this is a Glasscages tank. This is my 2nd tank from them. My 240 was a glasscages and I loved it just didn't have room for it at the new house.

The only problem I have to give them is they are a little sloppy with the silicone. But nothing a razor blade will not take care of.

What size are you thinking about upgrading to?

You are more than welcome to come by any time and check it out.

Thanks for the offer. I won't be ordering for a while but I might be interested in stopping by when I'm ready to order.

I'm designing a basement tank room in new construction so I haven't locked down the size yet. I'm looking at a 3 ft wide by 5 or 6 ft long - something in the 240-280gallon range.

Did a little plumbing.

I like the idea that you used Clark with the "T" I did each side that way so I can control a little more flow behind the rock work as well.

No closed loop. The return will be fed from a Hammerhead pump from the basement with about 14-16' head.. GPH should be some where from 3000-4000

Some time after the new year.

Here is a list of Equipment I will be running.

180 Gallon Tank (on Main Level)
100 Gallon Sump (in Basement)
ASM G-5
Hammer head Return Pump
2 - 400 Watts MH Sides (14k)
1 - 250 Watts MH Centered (10k)
4 - 110 watts VHO 4' All Actinic
2 - SEIO 1500
Auto top off
Kalk reactor

I also plan on putting 1/4 Black Acrylic up behind the sump as a splash gaurd (2'x4') from the studs and drywall.

Here is what I'm hoping.. After going off a thread you posted about micro bubbles. Someone suggested doing that.

The 13 gallon Trash can will have Holes along the bottom the bucket will sit in the trash can just below the lip of the can (still have to raise the bucket about an inch with a piece of 3" pipe under it. There will be no holes in the bucket at all. I'm hoping this will act as a bubble trap Round version. Will have to wait and see if it works.

I also turned the 3" pipe into 4" with the T at the end allowing more air to travel through the 4" pipe, hoping that it will help take the air out of the water and GULPING and rushing into the bucket.

Fingers are crossed.

I have a lot of flow going through the sump. I know John (Fade32) had this problem. I meant to ask him how many overflows he had and what size they where. He also doesn't have 16' head pressure going back up to the tank so that should help me out a lot there.
