my 26g bowfront anemone/clown system

If you put fans blowing over the surface, be aware that it helps cool the water by increasing evaporation, so you'd have to top off the tank a lot more.

im well aware of that

alright soooo its been quite a while since my last update. the tank is now over 10 months old. still has nothing in it, no fish, just some snails etc. i have new MH lighting which is a 150w sunpod with 14k. the other system got way to hot. i really like the color. i think its about time to try for that anemone once again. i hope to order the anemone this comming week to get it settled in a few weeks before i add my clown pair. i will also be ordering a skimmer which i have yet to buy for this setup. here is a current picture of the tanks progression lol

i will not be adding any corals to this tank, it will all be dedicated to the anemone itself and the clowns. any ideas on a anemone and clown pair would be great as i need some help deciding.

I would go with a captive raised clone of RBTA. It's eco friendly and is likely to split until that tank is full of them. Not bad for a one time purchase.
Oh and it is more likely to live than most of it's counterparts.
Personally I would get a clown that is difficult to find, like a leuc, an McCulloch's, or a latz since you will only be housing one type. The other option is something that you can have several of, such as a harem of captive raised percs with a pair of picassos or a group of nigripes.

FIRST THINGS FIRST...... You've got to put sponge filters or some other kind of anemone guard over every one of those powerhead intakes. Wherever they end up, you should not move them once set as this will promote the settling in of the nem(s). They tend to move once you start messing with their circulation and lighting.

I am impressed in your patience. I just setup a 30 gallon acrylic custom cube and its already filled with corals and a BTA. However all the rock I had was established from another system with lots of coralline. If you want I can show you some pics through a pm. Nice aquascaping by the way.
