My 280g Custom upgrade.....

And an AGE tank?! I almost pulled the trigger on one but went with a local guy and save huge. Mostly on shipping!

:hmm5: havent even gotten that far yet with who will build the new tank if there is one. I am going to explore acrylic as well this time.

Took some new pictures tonight and everything is looking great. I did make one more change about a month ago and that was switching back to dosing instead of the ca reactor. I went back to ESV B-ionic and all my levels are where I want them to be.

We leave for SC tomorrow for 4 days to gather some additional information and so I can meet with the mgr of the local office for my firm.

Best of luck Steve...hope everything works out on your visit. Growth shots are looking very good! For some reason I only see the pictures when I was replying to your message...just did a test to see if it was the link or not

There seems to be a lot of issues with tapatalk when it comes to quoting and mobile uploading. I will try to load the pictures later from my laptop.

Thanks Rodney! That was taken with the iPhone.....looks so much nicer in person. My LPS have really responded nicely to the t5 switch. They were not happy under the LEDs.

Uggghhh, I hate to hear that......my lps HATED my LEDs. :D

Just joking man, when I bought my Lps I asked if LEDs were ok, the ones that said yes I purchased the no ones stayed at the store so I should be ok....

And the decision is.....

And the decision is.....

As scary as this is, we have decided to put our house up for sale and will move to SC provided we are able to sell our house for what we need to sell it for. In a perfect world I would love to sell the system with the house but that just doesnt sound like a possibility. I have someone interested in the tank, stand and sump already so that will be easy. My plan is to keep the all of the pumps, skimmer, dosing equipment, reactors...etc for the next build.

As far as the live stock goes, some will be sold and some will be given away. Most of my lps pieces and all of my fish will be sold. There are a few pieces of lps that I have had for over 3 yrs and have seen them grow tremendously so I will be offering those pieces along with my sps to some local reefers who I know will be able to care for them and hopefully be able to send me frags of everything once I have settled in. I would rather do this than sell them to anyone that has the cash and not know if they will be able to care for them properly. Some might say why not do that with the fish as well and I did think about doing it with the fish, however I do need to recoup some of the money that I have invested and I will be very selective with where some of the fish go by asking for system specifics before selling the fish. It pains me to break the tank down now because I finally got the system on track and things are really starting to take off in the tank. I will take all of the changes I have mad recently and implement them on the new tank once established in SC. I will keep the tank running until we have a contract on the house and then I will start parting things out.

Congrats on the decision steve. I'm sure it work out perfectly for you buddy. Sorry to hear that you must break the system down but to start a new era one must end the current era

Thanks Corey....my wife is worried about the schools for my kids and Im trying to figure out how I can keep all of my corals....something doesnt seem right with that. This hobby is definitely a sickness :bounce3:

 yes it is. I like the idea of having locals hold them for you.
Maybe you can frag them, give them to local guys, when you get re established then they can send you the mother colonies via fed ex or what not. If something where to happen during shipping they would still haven frag growing out to try again

Congrats, all the best to you! Sounds like a good plan on your corals, and I think it is great that you care for your captive charges the way you do!

Congrats! I hope you can get what you want for the house! If you make it through Charlotte on the way down or once you are down here let me know!
