1" lock line.Thats what I would use but probably not cheap so I think I will stick with pcv pipe for now.I just looked there is no 1" lock line 3/4" then 1 1/2" so I will stick with pvc pipe
Those fittings aren't cheap hop.I like them but I don't want to spend over $200 on those fittings.I will stick with 1" pc.I am sure I will still have a nice flow.
I don't want to go smaller since I am going from 1 1/2" (dart output) to 1" from the om output.I already made my drain line to 1 1/2" instead of 2".I didn't want to make a 3" hole in the tank.I think 13 holes in the tank is more than enough.Any more holes and I will have to call it swiss cheese instead of a fish tank.
Nice hole you are making in that cement dude...that cannot be fun. Plenty of rock in it too. Maybe using a core drill and making multiple round holes would be better? Then you can grind down leftover? There is a cement grinding attachment for grinders that I have used. It's not cheap, but it works really well. Wish you were in the states, I would send it to you!
My friend has the drill but not the drill bit.The biggest bit he has is 3/4".I may just rent a 2" bit and drill a few holes.I thought about that but drills vibrate where a grinder (bigger one) will cut into the cement.I will more than likely drill it.
I connected the 8 way onto the dart. Its heavy with all the ball valves and the dart pump.I will screw the pump onto my stand so that it doesn't move. The last thing I want is a pipe to snap and my basement becomes a saltwater pool.
that 8-way is a trip! Have you tried a cut-off wheel on your grinder? That won't get you all the way through but it might help. The bits are VERY expensive and can go bad quickly, especially with all that rock. You will not be able to do that with the average hammer drill either.
It may be cheaper in the long run to just get a cement cutter to come out and do the job.
My boss has a bosh(big one)its a chipper and a drill(cost like $800)I had rented one with a 2" bit it cost me $100 from HD.I have a small grinder(its a toy) for this job.I need a good 7" wheel if not larger. They rent them at HD.It may cost less to rent the drill because you don't pay for wear and tear off the bit.But I will have to make a few holes. It may be faster with the drill.J my grinder is small.I went threw 3 blades in no time just to do what I did(4" blades) way to small to make a dent.I can get a grinder they use to cut sidewalks. The only thing is someone will have to hold the vacume.I used one this way no dust everywhere.
tough decision but HD will charge you for wear on the core bit. They measure them before and after IIRC. I went through 7 drill bits to make 16 holes 5/8 x 2" in the foundation of my store. Damn Norwegians that poured it used more than 50% stone. It looked like Terrazzo when I had a company come and cut a doorway into the wall.
With the core bit I rented, and the special core drill (a massive device I could barely lift), it took 4 hours to drill one 2" hole. I am not kidding. As I said, based on my experience, it may be cheaper to hire someone to do the cut.
 How about buying one of those tile cutting blades? The ones sold as replacements for tile cutting table saws? That should go through it like butter!
