My 57 gallons - Closed loop system

amazing tank manochio. how is sand etc. kept out of closed loop pump suctions?
sure looks better than vortechs in tank. I wouldn't know where to begin to find those co-axial pipe fittings -- or are they DIY?

thanks for sharin' , tom

hello Tuber !!

use in the substrate, coral sand of medium grain. The output of the closed-loop water that is inside the tank is just above the substrate, until this moment I had no problem. Use pipe and fittings that are used in pipelines waterborne houses, do not know if they are the same ones used in your country.

Wow that's a beautiful tank. I also like the wood squares background (wall behind the tank). It adds some texture but without taking away from the beauty of the tank.

Thanks Postshawn !!

the wall that is behind the aquarium was covered with stones. Not because of the aquarium, but only decoration of the environment and how my tank brings the glass is not painted, it was with this appearance.

Hey Manochio,
I'm really happy I stumbled upon your thread! Yours is one of the nicest tanks I have ever seen on RC---good job. Beautiful corals and fish.

Hello Bdial

returning the water to the sump, passes through a mechanical filter that helps to keep clean sump, and prevent splashing and reduce noise.

See photo.

Ya what kind of mechanical filter is that home made or bought, if home made whats used, thanks.

Hi Mudbeaver !!

this filter made with tubes and connections he had at home, simple but efficient.

I just copied the design today! So much easier to maintenance than a filter sock. Just toss the polyfiber and add more, it's so cheap.

Thanks!

I would really like to see that filter design in detail. Filter socks are really getting old for me.

This system is amazing, I am shocked at how nice and clear it looks! Where did you get your corals like that? Have yet to find a place online that sells them that big.

Love your zoa garden! Also i didn't know you could put hammer or torch and frogspawn so close together without a war. I learn something new here all the time. Just gorgeous
