Nice, are they difficult to keep? They are filter feeders? What do you feed them and how often? I've thought about getting filter feeders but I'm not too good about feeding them. I once had a clam but I think my lack of feeding it killed it.
Just noticed you have xenia too. Do you worry about them taking over your tank? People say they can quickly take over your tank. I personally love how they pulse like no other corals. But for some reason there are a few corals that don't thrive in my tank. Xenias, zoa's and frogspawn don't thrive at all in my tank. I'm always experimenting with my tank to figure out why this is. I just bought another xenia and will see if I can keep this guy alive. Are your zoa's growing well?
I have the pulsing xenia on a separate rock and will keep eye on them and if need be frag them. xenia, zoa's are really easy coral in fact they are actually hard to kill from what i've experienced in the past lol Yes my zoa's are growing nicely.
Very nice setup. Are you using the stock lights in there and if so is it 18w 50/50 CFL? I have an older JBJ 6 that I just resurrected with some softies in it and put a new (I think) bulb in that was laying around hoping for more light. Went online to buy a replacement and see they are no longer made. Is the an LED retrofit for these and another way to go? I like the hood on there so was thinking maybe I could gut the hood and put in a PAR light ot LED retofit strip light like you see on ebay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/27163633663...49&var=570472408907&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
Any input would be appreciated.
