It was a great coral but i'm sure you will fing another gem to replace it buddy!
Personally....i'm suspecting kevin...that koala is full of envy
That SSC is craaaaaaazy!
I noticed some weird texture on that.
I've a coral that looks exactly like that.
Thought it was due to high flow or too much light.
Any thoughts?

Hey mate, when i arrived home the lounge room had the stink of acro death and 95% of the tissue was blowing all over the display - total loss, the poor little acro crab that lived in it was sitting there in a bare white skeleton looking pathetic.

Don't worry bello. Sahin and biggles had to blame someone and you can't help that your skills are amazing. They are just envious at your skills and even though you are thousands of kms away from biggles they still blame you, I find that funny lol
I wouldn't worry about Bello if i was you mate, you're looking the goods atm for future blame when Sahin or my water goes bad.......

I just want to point out that this journal would be boring if it wasn't for all the stupid stuff you guys have been causing me to do to my reef.
Kevin and i are bluing atm, i discovered he's been into my kalk powder again which doesn't bring out the best in him. Right now he's out the back in his tree in the pouring rain sulking because i locked the kalk container away.

Thanks mate, the only time i see that weird inflated almost bubble like tissue growth is when the chemistry is out of whack. Some stuff is simply less tolerant of parameters being different to what they were used to in the ocean. The tips looked sleek and smooth when the acro was going well, that growth is never a good thing. I haven't seen high light or flow cause such tissue abnormality ever over the years but that doesn't mean it can't happen i guess.
Hey Biggles! I haven't stopped by in a while. The tank is looking great, as always. I'm sorry to hear about the RTN on that colony. Did you find anything off, or do you think it was fluke?

Hey Kasey, i must do the same and see how your little slice of the ocean is going mate. Since it was the only piece to implode i'm fairly certain it was from almost zero flow around the branch for a number of days.
It's unfortunate that you weren't aware Kevin reads my journal Kasey, i'm pretty sure he's put you on 'the list' now mate.
I told Kevin i thought it'd be a nice gesture if he came in out of the rain and posed for a nice pic to at least acknowledge the RC members who ask after him - not gonna happen unfortunately so i snapped him anyway, he doesn't mean it btw, it's the kalk withdrawls kicking in.

Hahaha lol, I don't mind taking the blame for sahin or your water problems as long as you take the blame for my stuff ups ok here comes the first blame, bloody algea outbrake at the moment. So doing water changes and siphoning out all the stuff I can get. Might have to look at getting some gfo and see how it goes. My button polyps are doing well though, full of colour and not drawn in. So I'm happy and angry at the moment 
I'll be blaming you for the algea and you can take credit for the buttons

Is winter begining to settle in over there biggles? Its starting to over here in the great southern of west oz and that means one thing.....more time on RC and with my tank of course
I think kevin visited last night as I was woken to a red glow in the lounge, my heart skipped a beat as a thought there was a fire under the couch next to the tank) but luckly It was one of the return pumps sparking in the sump, under water. I quickly pulled the power out and that fixed that, so that pump will be going in the bin. The cause of the sparks was the cable as it goes into the pump had broken exposing the wires. Lucky it didn't cause a fire and that I have a spare return pump

Sorry to hear biggles . You know I really liked the aculeus.
The rest of the corals seem fine, so I was just wondering...... you got the aculeus recently, when it was rather bleached, then it recovered nicely, perhaps the salinity swing affected it a lot more than others, since it may have required more time to adjust? Come to think of it, even your previous aculeus was kinda finicky wasn't it?
I'd better not see anymore RTN's in your tank or AEFW's in mine. Time to get off the rollercoaster

Kevin has finally convinced Biggles to go live in the trees.
Internet access from atop the Eucalyptus trees isnt the best. So Biggles comes out of the trees every 4 days or so to check up on his tank and to deal with us writing in his thread.
In all seriousness Biggles, mate, I hope you are alright.
