My 70 Gallon Zeovit Tank

Chris...
When you are ready, that green/purple humilus can be fragged generously, it is becoming a monster:)

Here is my zeovit dosing schedule...likely to change a bit though
1. start2 @ 2 times per day using .25ml
2. bak @ every other day 3 drops with zeozyme @ .25tsp
3. CS @ every other opposite day of bak/zeozyme @ 2ML
4. zeofood7 halted for the moment
5. Pohls K Balance @ 2ml 2 times per week
6. Pohls B Balance @ 2ml 2 times per week
7. SP halted for the moment
8. AAHC halted for the moment

I just tested nitrates on elos, no nitrates present at all. This concerns me as I have some cyano and bubble algae. This is why I have halted a few products. I am also due for a zeolite exchange in another few days. I am exchanging every 5-6 weeks until the nasties go away. Currently using .75 Liters of media, with 75gph running through the reactor. Zeo Carbon changed every 3-4 weeks at .4 liters. Nothing too too bad, just a bit unsightly. I also plan on reducing start2 to .1ml 2times per day, just to see if that helps, given my NO3 is too low, IMO...

If you have not seen the I-Tech zeo-reactor John made, here is a pic. Notice I went for an external... John is da Man....lol... Thanks again, PM me when you are ready for some frags!

Sounds good Perry! I'm pretty ready when you are :)

I'm sold on the Zeo supplements. You have to do your research and start SLOW if you don't want to have issues though. My issue was a pretty wicked algae blooom. Sorts of algae I've never seen before. I WAY overdosed on AA and it took a few months to get the algae under control. Almost made me bail on Zeo all together. Like you say you must do your research and be commited to stick to the plan to get the most from Zeo. I had excellent coloration and good growth that I attribute to the supplements. I really like the Sponge Power and the Amino Acids. Coral Snow really makes your water crystal clear too. Never tried the Bak or Zeo Start..

I use the following supplements:
Sponge Power
Coral Vitalizer
Amino Acids
ZeoFood7
Potassium Iodide
Coral Snow
Potassium

I havent used the Zeolites since it requires daily pumping of the stones and I'm out of town thru the week. Zeolites as I know it helps control Nitrate and Phosphate accumulation. Since I haven't had that issue I think I'm ok. I've also heard the mulm that comes off the stones is a food source for corals I understand. If someone is into SPS and wants to get the most from their corals I'd reccomend Zeo.

Beautiful tank you got there Perry. Your corals look great!

Chris

Thanks Darryl and Chris!

I like some of the highend, and also to take chances on pieces I feel will do well in my system, the humilus Chris keeps talking about is stunning, never seen one quite like it...
Thanks again guys for the compliments, it really means alot to me:)

Looking really good dude. I almost went with this tank. Its a great size.

I won't complain if you put up more pics!

Update:
I have added a remote sump into the system with about 35lbs of fresh rock in a 20gallon long, with a very light sandbed, less than 1". I also added an addtional skimmer that I had laying around, a Bubblemaster 160 which sits on the far side of the remote sump. A mag 5 pushes water from the 3rd chamber of the main sump where my I-Tech 100 cone skimmer is located. The maintant and remote sump deliver to this chamber as well. I think this creates some redundancy which will aid in exportation. In the center chamber of the main sump is another 3-4lbs of liverock. I know the 2nd skimmer is overkill, but the plan is for this unlit remote sump/cryptic fuge to serve as a breeding ground for sponges and other microlife. My hopes are to create as much stability as I can. Cyano has not come back as strong since my last water change and removal of nasties. There still is some though. I plan on upping my 2 part dosing soon, as well as continuing the normal zeostart2 and bak additions which puts me below the recommendations. I have slowed the use of it over the past 3-4 days to .1ml 2 times per day. .
Regards,
Perry

looks great!

Thank You!

Update:
The added sump/cyrptic fuge is going great, I have some very fresh liverock which I think will eventually drive out sequestered nutrients in my display tank's liverock, which is 2 years old. I have some macro algaes, bubble algae, and a bit of cyano that is annoying the crap out of me, so I am doing manual removals of unsightly algaes every few days. As far as Zeovit goes, my colors are about as vibrant as I have ever seen in any tank I have run, so this is great news.
I plan on snapping a few pics today, so hopefully I can get some eye candy up soon.
Regards,

Update:
I took down my tank recently due to a company move, I have treated for pests, and will be run qt for 6 weeks, specifically with all acros due to confirmed AEFW. All others will make their way into the new tank. I have decided to keep my fish as is for now. Luckily I have all the equipment to run qt, my current holding tank will work nicely. I will hopefully have some pics ready by the end of the week... Thanks for looking:)

Sounds great Perry! I'm sorry to hear that you found AEFW's, but you're definitely going about it the right way. I'd love to see some pics of the QT/holding tanks. Can't wait to see how everything looks once it's back in the tank!

Here are some pics that I snapped after the corals went into holding as I cleaned up equipment, new sump, pvc, etc...

sweet man. were are all your corals being held at?

I had them in a 30 gallon rubbermaid container. I made it over to my new place, the tank is setup and all corals and fish are moved back to the display. I will be posting some new pics soon, corals really browned out on me, hopefully the color will come back soon:)
