I'm trying to resolve the issue with Derek at Miracles in Glass; there may be another alternative :) we shall wait and see............

:eek1: I'd better get busy !!!!!
Merv, I'll call Mainland Plate Glass and see what they have in stock. Maybe I can bring home some of the better stuff tomorrow.
I'll be in-touch.

I'm going to go set off a bomb to counter the bomb that already went off in my garage/shop. Need room to work!

okeelee dokeelee. it's for the sump, right? hey I was thinking. If we go with thicker than 1/8" acrylic, maybe we don't need the Eurobrace right? I'll leave it up to you Rich oh acrylic-master.

whoops, found a straggler:

What ????

DJ electrical panel with switches. No more pulling plugs to turn off the skimmer of the pumps or the whatever! $15, can't beat it. 15 AMPS too!

It's final location. I hope the skimmer and calcium reactor cord reaches!

Durso. Not the final piece, I just got bored yesterday so I starting fitting things together.

It was going to be 1/4" from the start. Even with a 1.0" +/-eurobracing.

Should need around 20 sf (48"x60")
I have some scraps laying around for the misc. things that may come up.

I will get a new tank if i was you- it is to much of a risk for as to try to glue "silicon" in something that important like Euro brace .

Something happened to the silicone, they are trying to find out what caused it. I don't have a problem posting the pics up, I'm just soooo glad that they are willing to send me a new tank after all what happened. To that, I REALLY COMMEND THEM.

I tell you this tank took a big dive of the truck i think some one just push it off the back of the truck in to the concrete pavement .
I'm glad they trying/going to send you a new one.

maybe at the dock, yes.
Colin, my neighbor and I lifted this thing down from the tractor trailer. It was sitting there strapped onto a pallet which was sitting on another pallet. As soon as I saw that and I was able to put my finger underneath the strap, I knew there was gonna be a slight problem- more like a huge problem! At least they're making it right. The bubbles in the silicone was definitely from the factory, maybe a bad batch of silicone?

got the 4 fans I ordered last week. 4.5" of cooling @ 80-95CFM, 0.58A, 12V. I was able to find a 2A 12V AC/DC converter lying around to power them up. I think I'll follow suit like my old hood. 2 blowing in, 2 pulling out at top. With the open back however, I don't think I may need the 2 behind blowing in. I dunno yet.

Still waiting for the tank *sigh*
