Nice build! I like the long nose hawk fish!

Thanks! He has such a personality, I can almost hold him/her always swimming near my hand. I am just waiting for it to land on me and perch.

I know the pics are not the best but I have had a lot of help from this site, so I wanted everyone to see what I accomplished.

You definitely need a new light. KESSIL looks like a bedside lamp compared to tank lol.

I would add more sand.
Keep up the good work

its 48", 24", 16". Very shallow good for coral.

Yes, I know I need new lighting... I have an 18"t5 and 36" panaraoma ecoxotic led. They just don't have the coverage. I know the kessil does not either but it is definitely better. Cant decide on new lighting- I dont want to pay anything crazy.

The problem with the sand is the return pump keeps moving it everywhere. It looks like sand dunes everywhere. I have 75lbs in there, it just wont stick down.

Oh yeah. I have the same tank and absolutely love it.
Aquascaping is a bit tough because of the height but I wouldn't want another tank for the size.
Older pic but I have t5 over it now

I really like the long/short of the tank, where my 80 is tall and narrow(32x24x24). Just setting it up I'm really starting to not like the height. I can't do anything in it without a step stool(I'm only 5'6, and the tank is a solid 4'6 on the stand)!
