Unless an MP-40 is mounted wrong there should be no audible sound if you are more than 3 feet from it.

I have tinkered around with my MP-40 for some time and I can never quite get it to shut up. I can always hear some sort of knocking coming from it, especially when I'm in the basement under the tank. I can hear the vibrations from it.

Although, I was over at Chris's who has two MP-60's and they were dead silent.

Give Ecotech a call, it shouldn't be like that.

The tanks in my bedroom 6 ft from my bed, idk if i could deal with that pulsing at night, kind debated the evolution's with a wave maker cuz the koralas are super quiet imo, but whenever my 1400 kicks on after i feed it blows a little bit of bubbles, it would drive me nuts if every time it kicked on it blew some bubbles into the tank, anyone have experience with them

great tank.
i have two mp 40s and they both make noise rampin up and down, other than that they are a great pump, many yrs of trouble free service.oh i hope i didnt just shoot my own foot.
