RR Limitless

Whoa!! Nice!
Love that spear of destiny. Crazy red polyps and the baby blue growth... Wow...
I want that coral...
I also want the limitless.. Can't believe the range of colours on this corals..
Really nice

WOW amazing photos Hung, these may be the most beautiful corals I've seen. Can we see some under tank shots? What do you do for filtration, dosing, and feeding?

I don't think you want to see the mess that is my sump. My system has always run super simple.
I run a Geo 618 Calcium reactor to meet the needs of the tank.
An ATI 250 Bubble Blaster as my skimmer, and a reasonable size of chaeto in my refugium. I also use about 1 pound to 3/4 pound of carbon and GFO and that is my filtration.
I feed once to twice a day, varying from pellets to LRS Reef Frenzy.
I keep a good amount of fish.
5 leopard wrasses
1 Flame Wrasse I had a trio, but the female jumped out when I was feeding the fish and fell back in the water dead as a rock, weirdest thing I have ever seen since I've been the hobby, and the other female just disappeared, weird.
1 Chevron Tang
2 Yellow Tangs
1 Blue Tang
1 Powder Blue tang
1 Starry Blenny
1 Randall's goby that has been living in my overflow for a couple years now.
2 Lyretail Anthias
That is my fish list for now, been trying to take out the chevron since he is too big now.

I dose 2ml of Acropower every 2 days.
I use some Kz additives as well
Kz Coral Booster
Kz Coral Vitalizer
Kz Pohl's Xtra
and time to time use coral frenzy.
This is basically it about my system, super simple.

That's a good amount of gfo and carbon.. How often do you change it out and how do you use gfo- in a fluidized reactor or some other way?
What light do you have over your cheato and what is the photo period?
Can you give us your parameters?
Thanks! :)

I keep my gfo and carbon in mesh bags near the skimmer, since there is high flow there.
I change them about 1 once or twice a month.
I an led strip to grow my chaeto I turn it on around 7 A.m. and turn it off around 10p.m.
My parameters today are
alk-8.4
Calcium- 430
mag-1340
phos-0-.03

what about nitrate? do you test for it?
also, what camera and lens and what software for editing are you using?
i have to say again how blown away i am by the health and the unbelievable colour combos you are pulling out of your corals... it's really impressive.
another question..
with all these new additions, what do you dip (if you dip) your corals in before adding them to the display?

I don't test for nitrates.
I use a nikon D7100 with a 105mm macro lens, and I use lightroom to correct white balance.
When I get something new I dip using Bayer, and keep it in my 93 so I can inspect the coral, when I sure there are no pests I put it in my display.

An update on the JF Fox Flame growing pretty good now.

RR Cactus, grows almost like the fox flame, seems to be the same species except it is purple instead of red.

Here is one I've been waiting so long to get. This one is the brightest coral in my tank when I turn the royal blues on. It may be a frag but the color is ridiculous.

Beautiful corals and stunning photography. That fox flame is really looking good. I'm so tempted to get a frag of that from his site.

Wow!! Just stumbled onto your thread. Amazing collection and colors. Like Matt I would like to know what your nitrates are at if you ever test it sometime.

did you switch from a 125 to a 93 cube? Or are you keeping two tanks? what are the dimensions of your tank(s)? looks like you're using just 2 radions on the 93 cube. is that correct?

Thank you for the breakdown of your husbandry, livestock, and supplements. How much of a difference do the Acropower and KZ supplements make?

Yea it is a nice piece.

Thank you, I don't have a nitrate test now, Nitrates have never been a big deal for me, that is why I have never tested.

I have 4 systems up and running right now.
125,220,93,180.
93 is a cube so 30inx30inx24in Radion x2
125 is 6ftx1.5ftx2ft Radion x4
220 is 7ftx2ftx2ft ATI 8bulb 60 inch sunpower
180 is 6xft2xft2ft ATI 8bulb 60 inch sunpower

I have noticed that KZ Supplements do help me quite a bit in the richness of the corals, colors are more pronounced and growth and health are improved. AP I does help, but not as much as the KZ stuff.
