My anemone ate my clownfish!

Swimming in the School
I came home from school today and my sebae anemone was spitting out the digested remains of my female ocellaris clownfish! I plan on removing the male, but is there a species of clownfish that will host my anemone? I was looking for a larger more aggressive species (like clarkii or bicinctus) since I have squirrelfish, tangs, and a coral catshark in my fish tank.

Here is the anemone (which currently hosts my banggai cardinalfish).

I can't imagine a sebae eating a healthy clown. They just don't have strong enough sting to capture a healthy fish.

Any of the clarki complex clowns will readily accept a sebae anemone (H. crispa) as a host. Orange skunk clowns like them as well.

Yea, that's truly crazy. My sebae isn't very sticky or much of a sting. As a matter of fact, I have a pair of Bengali Cardinals that host the Sebae. I have a pair of Orange Skunks that prefer to host the adjacent Colt Coral, so go figure!

Sincerely,

David

I have had the female clown for close to 7 years now, as well as the male. I think the male is actually a female as well, because they have been incessantly fighting the last month. Maybe the clown was injured fighting with the other and when it was killed became anemone food?
