my beaded sand anemone

Here is my beaded sand anemone. Got him two days back.
He is settled in the bottom already. He has a very nice red/orange color column which is not visible now.

VERY NICE!! I really like those anemones, but can never find a healthy one like yours. I'm very jealous. :thumbsup:
 
Nice Heteractis aurora. Too often they come in bleached, yours is a nice brown color. They are host anemones, but not much besides clarkii will associate with them in adulthood. Sometimes they are called nursery anemones, because other clown species will associate with them as juveniles, but then seek out their preferred hosts as they mature.
 
Thank you for all the comments. I live close to a marine aquarium fish collection center, where I get my fish. That is why I'm able to get healthy specimens. I have a Clarkii there already but he has shown no interest in the nem. I think my Clarkii is more of a carpet person. I want to transfer my green carpet in to this 65g tank in a month or so. Hopefully the two anemones can live together without making a mess. May be I'll make a reef barrier to keep them separated.
