My Black Ocellaris pair are spawning!!!

I am going back a few pics but what kind of lighting do you have for your carpet? Also are you going to be selling the fry? Would love a couple.

I think they look nice and healthy as well thanks. I'm going to sell them when they get bigger. I'm in Canada Camsan. That would be difficult I think to send them that far / customs ect.. I have 2 250w 14,000k over my main tank.

Can anyone give me a timeline when I should be feeding what? I can't find anything definitave. I'm on day 15 should I be on to crushed flakes ect now? I'm still feeding BBS.

Two very good books to get if you don't have them (both talk about feeding timelines.

Awesome info thank you! My second spawn hatched tonight. I count only about 65 fry. I couldn't have missed the hatch by more than 1/2 a hour. Do people usually stay in the room and check every 10 mins? I figured I would go upstairs and watch TV and check every 30 mins... I had about 270-300 eggs and they are all hatched. I assume the anemone got them? Its kind of a bummer. Hopefully she'll lay the eggs on the tile next time. I'll post a couple pictures in the morning.

Yes you take them out after they are hatched. The other fish would eat them. Its a pain :) Yes we've switched. Probably 6 months ago now. Its ok. Its not as much of a pain as people think it is. We wanted to beat the rush.

Pics as promised.

Well of the 65 that hatched I have about 5 left. This morning I looked and there was maybe 20 that I could see. Now only 5. I'm not sure what happened as everything was done the same. The only thing I noticed was tonight there didn't seem to be many rotifers in the tank. I had fed this morning before going to work. Perhaps the density just wasn't high enough. There was also some BBS in the tank and some eggs. I assume it came from one of the various utensils I use between everything I have going on. I doubt that's the issue. I do have glass lids on the tank now but I don't see what that would do. The temp ect is good. Unfortunately I think I'm going to have to clean everything and try again in two weeks.

I don't know yet. I haven't even thought of that much. I have some near dead at 2 days old I'll give you a heck of a deal on lol.

Here's a few more pics of the first spawn. They are getting darker all the time. They are now eating flake food as well.

Well here we go again. They laid eggs yesterday. My wife and kids got to see the whole process. I guess it was really cool. I wish the little buggers would lay on the tile though.. Right beside it...
