Make sure you add a Gem tang (Zebrasoma gemmatum) to go along with the pair of Mccullochs:cool:
Oh for sure! I am holding out for DiversDen to post up a pair! I wonder if I can get someone to insure them . I think I might upgrade my set of wheels before I did something that wild, the old clunker is getting a little worse for the wear. You shoulda heard the suspension groan when I loaded up all the liverock for my 180.

I like that comment spread the hate:D

200-400 in a 10g :eek2: wow that must look real cool at feeding time.

Nanz:Until you get your numbers per batch up it's a frustrating thing to do, if you moved them into a smaller amount of water then the water quality could be compromised no?

I know i went through this same thing as i said earlier my first batch is a mis match of weird looking fish but i could not stock more of them together simply because i did not have any more to work with, the food offering seems fine, when you are having the die offs is there any noticeable problems with the tank? cloudy water, low/hi ph not really sure what it could be just trying to give some ideas of things to look for.

I moved them into the 20 because I thought more water would help me control the NH3. I also have live rock in there as well and a sponge filter. I know what you mean, I only have 10 left and no where near the numbers, hehe.

Next batch Im going to try using this fry collector that April created to catch peppermint shrimp. This might up my numbers since I usually syphon them out by hand and then my lyretails clean up the rest :( This time Im going to let the collector catch the fish and Im going to stand guard and police the anthias, hehe. I love my lyretails but they never stop eating and they are fanatical about it.

Very true statement, but to his defense (not that he needs it) they are usually well constructed, thoughtout, and articulated comments. Unlike most of mine .

A pair would be cool for sure
you don't need new wheels right now you have a 180 to setup
it's all about the priorities right

I know what you mean about the lyretails i have 3 in my dt and they are constantly on the move looking for food unless the male is on one of his binges then the 2 females try and hide from him.
Do you have a picture of the collector?

LOL or does being a RCmod pay sooo well(in cheetos and Mt. Dew) that supplimental income isnt needed!?

Well thanks to all that voted for the thread but we only managed 23.74% of the total for a third place finish. Oh well better luck next time.
:D

Update for today, i have a batch that is combined of 2 different groups for some reason they don't seem like they want to grow up at all. I am still feeding them oto a due to their size they just seem like they are stuck in time any suggestions? I am thinking of raising their temp which is currently @ 80 deg. I am thinking of bumping it up to around 82?

I also have been battling a yellowing of the water in my 10g growout tank so over the weekend i added an aquaclear 20 (HOB) to the tank after doing a 50% wc. For now the water is still nice & clear & the fish seem to really like the added water movement, for now i set it up with all 3 compartments just to see how it does, sponge, carbon bag, media. I don't know if i will keep it setup like that or not, as there is 2 seasoned sponge filters running on that tank, i figure if for nothing else i may just use the HOB filter and just run carbon in it to help keep the water clear.
