So my C. marginalis is doing well in QT. Eats minced diver scallop, shrimp, PE mysis, and live blackworms. I'm also loving the tiny blue stripes he has all over his body. I thought they were just plain white/silver!

Here he is after a full evening of scallop :D

Edit: Hmm, can't embed the video  Here's the link...

Thanks guys. He was listed as 4 3/4" I think. Yeah, he is a nice size, which I prefer. IMO, being able to eat larger pieces of food trumps the concern that because he's larger, he won't adapt to captivity as well. This is my philosophy with most fish where food size is often the issue, not so much food type (longnose type butterflies, and anthias come to mind as immediate examples).

I'll have to get a video of him swallowing a 2" long sliver of scallop :eek2:

Beautiful fish, when you go to embed the video there is a check box that says use Old Code, check that off then copy the code.
Here you go on the last one

Very interesting update. Twice now, including this last time I stuffed him on Monday night, he hasn't been hungry again until 2 days later. Tried feeding him last night... meh, he ate a few pieces, but that was it. Tonight again, he's eating aggressively. Thoughts?

Interesting that scallop is definitely a favorite now...

Great looking fish :)

In your very first video link, right around the 17 to 20 second mark, on the upper left side of the fish it looks like he has a parasite or scales coming off or something... any idea what it is?

I thought it was just an injury, but it hasn't gone away... Hasn't spread, caused issues either. Birthmark?

Every day, as soon as I get home from work, and until lights out. He eats well, but not a ton at once...hopefully he'll learn to gorge himself over time.
