My Carpet Anemone from Petco

Healthy haddonis have quite a strong foot and can move rocks that are less than huge. If the rock is not structural, I would remove it, and give the anemone the entire space. With time, it will outgrow the spot it is in anyway.

Lol

Lol

I subscribed to your thread just to see how you do with yours. I moved the rock and now the Haddoni is on a slow move towards another rock... lol

Yeah, that's what I'm afraid of. Seems to like wedging his leg between the rock and the sand.

How deep is your sand?

My sand bed is about 1" to 1-1/4" deep and I also have lighting grid on the bottom of my tank. The hoddoni is now working on another rock to get under.

By no means an expert here, but he may be looking for deeper sand and possibly a smother surface to attach. Not sure how much they like the grid.

So 12 days ago I had to remove part of my rock scape to move the Haddoni. It was trying to move under a structural rock so it was finally time to intervene. I moved it back where I wanted it and made the sand deeper in this area. So far so good for almost 2 weeks. Haddoni is very healthy, spreading out nicely and eating a small nickel sized scallop piece every 3 days.
